French Blue Cheese Shirred Eggs
Indulge in creamy, flavorful, and oh-so-satisfying Shirred Eggs, made with our gourmet French Blue Cheese Salad Kit®. It's the luckiest find at the end of your fork on St. Patrick's Day!
Ingredients
- 1 (8-ounce) package Fresh Express® French Blue Cheese Salad Kit®
- 4 eggs
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 loaf French baguette
Instructions
- In a large sauté pan, heat butter over medium heat. Add salad to the pan along with croutons, excluding the other toppings.
- Sauté while stirring until wilted, about 3 minutes.
- Transfer the sautéed salad to a plate and let it cool, while preheating the oven to 350°F.
- In a skillet, layer the ingredients in the following order: salad mixture, 1 egg, 4 tablespoons heavy cream, blue cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Place the skillet in the oven and cook for 10-12 minutes (until the eggs are cooked).
- Remove the skillet from the oven and allow it to rest for 2 minutes to let the eggs finish setting.
- Drizzle with French Blue Cheese dressing.
- Serve with sliced bread for dipping.
