Juicy seared steak, crispy golden fries, and cool Creamy Mushroom Caesar crunch come together for a bistro-style plate made easy. Garlic brioche croutons, rich parmesan dressing, and savory mushroom flavor add a bold Caesar-inspired finish that makes every bite feel hearty, crisp, and craveable.
Ingredients
- 1 (9.8-ounces) bag Fresh Express® Creamy Mushroom Caesar Chopped Kit Â
- 2 lb New York strip or sirloin steaks (about 2–3 steaks)
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 1½ teaspoons Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
-  1½ lb Frozen steak fries or thick-cut fries
Optional Finish
- ¼ cup Shaved parmesan
- 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven or air fryer and cook the fries according to package directions until crisp and golden. Season lightly with salt.
- While the fries cook, pat the steaks dry. Rub both sides with olive oil, then season with salt and black pepper.
- Heat skillet or grill pan over high heat.
- Sear the steaks for 3 to 5 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until the internal temperature reaches 130°F to 135°F for medium-rare, or your desired doneness.
- Transfer the steaks to a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Prepare the Fresh Express® Creamy Mushroom Caesar Chopped Kit according to package directions. Keep chilled until ready to serve.
- Plate the sliced steak alongside hot fries.
- Add a generous serving of the Creamy Mushroom Caesar salad alongside the steak and fries.
- Garnish with shaved parmesan and parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
Chef Tips
- Time the fries so they finish close to when the steak comes off the heat.Â
- Let the steak rest before slicing so the juices stay in the meat, not on the cutting board.
- Keep the salad chilled until serving.
- Do not overdress the kit. The mushroom Caesar should brighten the plate.
- Serve immediately for the best contrast of hot fries, juicy steak, and crisp chilled salad.
