Steak Frites with Creamy Mushroom Caesar Salad

  • ¼ cup Shaved parmesan
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven or air fryer and cook the fries according to package directions until crisp and golden. Season lightly with salt.
  • While the fries cook, pat the steaks dry. Rub both sides with olive oil, then season with salt and black pepper.
  • Heat skillet or grill pan over high heat.
  • Sear the steaks for 3 to 5 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until the internal temperature reaches 130°F to 135°F for medium-rare, or your desired doneness.
  • Transfer the steaks to a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Prepare the Fresh Express® Creamy Mushroom Caesar Chopped Kit according to package directions. Keep chilled until ready to serve.
  • Plate the sliced steak alongside hot fries.
  • Add a generous serving of the Creamy Mushroom Caesar salad alongside the steak and fries.
  • Garnish with shaved parmesan and parsley if desired. Serve immediately.

Chef Tips

  • Time the fries so they finish close to when the steak comes off the heat. 
  • Let the steak rest before slicing so the juices stay in the meat, not on the cutting board.
  • Keep the salad chilled until serving.
  • Do not overdress the kit. The mushroom Caesar should brighten the plate.
