These homemade tacos deliver crispy, golden shells packed with bold, BBQ-flavor in every bite. It’s a crave-worthy taco night upgrade that’s equal parts comforting, fresh, and irresistible.
Ingredients
- 1 package of the Fresh Express® Smokehouse Chopped Salad KitÂ
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp taco seasoning
- 10 fresh corn tortillas (tortillas de maiz)
- 4 cups oil, for frying
- 1 Roma tomato
- ½ red onion
- ½ cup of Mexican cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Start by browning your ground beef for 3 minutes on medium-high heat. After about 3 minutes or when semi-browned, add taco seasoning and mix. Continue cooking until the meat is fully browned.
- In a large pot, add oil and heat over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot and ready, add your tortillas one at a time. When the tortilla starts to bubble, use tongs to fold one side into a taco shape. Hold each side for about 2 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to drain.
- In a large bowl, mix together the Fresh Express Smokehouse Chopped Salad Kit.
- Dice your tomato and onion and set aside.
- To assemble your taco, add the ground beef into your hard taco shells. Top it off with the mixed Fresh Express®  Smokehouse Chopped Salad Kit, tomato, onion and shredded cheese. Y Listo and enjoy!
