Total Time 30 minutes mins
- 1 package of the Fresh Express® Smokehouse Chopped Salad Kit
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp taco seasoning
- 10 fresh corn tortillas (tortillas de maiz)
- 4 cups oil, for frying
- 1 Roma tomato
- ½ red onion
- ½ cup of Mexican cheese, shredded
Start by browning your ground beef for 3 minutes on medium-high heat. After about 3 minutes or when semi-browned, add taco seasoning and mix. Continue cooking until the meat is fully browned.
In a large pot, add oil and heat over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot and ready, add your tortillas one at a time. When the tortilla starts to bubble, use tongs to fold one side into a taco shape. Hold each side for about 2 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to drain.
In a large bowl, mix together the Fresh Express Smokehouse Chopped Salad Kit.
Dice your tomato and onion and set aside.
To assemble your taco, add the ground beef into your hard taco shells. Top it off with the mixed Fresh Express® Smokehouse Chopped Salad Kit, tomato, onion and shredded cheese. Y Listo and enjoy!
